The wife of His Majesty the King sponsors the art exhibition held on the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day in cooperation with Bahrain Gallery

Manama, November 26 (BNA) – Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her, the Child and Mother Welfare Society, in cooperation with Bahrain Gallery, inaugurated the art exhibition held on the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day. The opening was attended by Her Highness Sheikha Jawahir bint Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa, wife of His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Court of the Prime Minister and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Educational Charitable Trust.

The exhibition, held from November 26 to December 3, 2025, at the Arts Center, celebrated the rich artistic journey of a select group of Bahraini female artists. These artists, each with her own unique style, expressed their artistic experiences through contemporary approaches and innovative visions. The exhibition featured a collection of artworks highlighting the journey and achievements of Bahraini women, reflecting their creative energies and artistic vision. This event was part of the celebrations for Bahraini Women’s Day 2025, held under the theme “Bahraini Women: Excellence, Creativity, Innovation.”

Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa expressed her appreciation for the support and guidance of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her, in organizing such events. She noted that these events reflect the pioneering role of women in society and embody their active participation in the Kingdom’s cultural and artistic landscape. Her Highness also expressed her pride in the high caliber of the artworks featured in the exhibition.

Her Highness emphasized that the current surge in women’s artistic activity in Bahrain reflects the ambitious national vision supporting women, art, and culture. She affirmed that Bahrain has always been a nurturing environment for female talent and creativity, which forms an integral part of Bahraini artistic identity. She noted that celebrating Bahraini Women’s Day is an important annual occasion to highlight the fruits of women’s contributions, which grow stronger and more distinguished year after year. She added that exhibitions like this underscore the Bahraini woman’s proven presence and excellence in cultural and artistic fields, as well as various creative sectors.

Bahrain Gallery is celebrating Bahraini Women’s Day with a special art event honoring the contributions, creativity, and pioneering role of Bahraini women in society and the arts. This event marks the first exhibition of its kind in Bahrain, bringing together a select group of Bahraini female artists who have presented distinguished artistic experiences reflecting the profound presence of women and their inspiring contributions to the local art scene.

The exhibition aims to highlight the vital role of women in promoting the cultural movement and showcase their creative energies that have contributed to shaping the identity of the Bahraini art scene, affirming their pioneering position in various artistic fields.
